Although the Cleveland Browns started a veteran quarterback in the first preseason game of the year, most fans tuned in hoping to catch a glimpse of the No. 1 Overall Draft Pick. However, it wasn’t until the second drive that Baker Mayfield stepped onto the field. Quickly the anticipation deflated as the franchise opted to run the ball over and over before punting it away.
But, the rookie’s time on the field remained far from over. Making the most of the opportunity afforded him, Mayfield seized control of the offense while marching down the field. On second and goal from the ten yard line, the quarterback dropped back to survey the field.
