Storylines

Last week Oklahoma running backs Rodney Anderson and Trey Sermon combined for 169 yards and three touchdowns on just fourteen carries. Now they’ll face a UCLA defense that gave up 194 yards on the ground to Cincinnati last week.

UCLA starting quarterback Wilton Speight suffered a back injury last week and is highly questionable to play against Oklahoma. Should he sit out, freshman Dorian Thompson-Robinson will make his first career start for the Bruins.

UCLA freshman running back Kazmeir Allen ran for 103 yards in only five carries last week.

The Sooners come into this game averaging 10.5 yards per play after the opening weekend of the season.

Oklahoma recorded its first blocked punt for a touchdown since 2002 last weekend.

UCLA is trying to avoid what would be only its second 0-2 start in the last 20 years.

Oklahoma has scored at least 30 points in 24 of its last 25 games.
