Storylines
Oklahoma State and Texas Tech meet for the 46th time in college football history today. The all-time series is tied at 21-21-3, but the Cowboys have owned this series for the last decade winning the last nine consecutive matchups. Three of the last four, however, have been decided by less than a touchdown, and the Red Raiders tout one of the most dangerous passing games in the NCAA through three weeks.
The Cowboys are #15 in both polls and are 3-0 on the season after knocking off the Boise State Broncos, while the Red Raiders are 2-1 and coming off a 63-49 victory over the Houston Cougars.
Both of these offenses are ranked in the top-10 in a number of statistical categories, and Oklahoma State appears to have one of the nation’s best defenses, but this game could easily turn into a shootout.
