The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Utah Jazz 122-113 on Monday to move to 17-8 on the season, which is the best winning percentage in the Western Conference right now. Paul George continues to look like an MVP candidate, Steven Adams is looking more and more like an All-Star, and despite Russell Westbrook’s shooting woes, he continues to contribute in a number of other ways.
Meanwhile, the Pelicans are not having the success this season that they had hoped to have. At 14-15, New Orleans is 11th in the West, despite Anthony Davis averaging 27.4 points, 12.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.8 blocks, and 1.7 steals per game. Davis has averaged 27.5 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.9 blocks, and 1.4 steals in 16 career games against the Thunder, but he has scored 30+ against the Thunder 8 times, and 40+ against the Thunder twice. Contain him will be key to winning tonight.
