Similar to the OKC, the Clippers had a rough return to play after the All-Star Break. Also similar to OKC, they are clicking at just the right time, as they have won 5 of their last 6. On paper, LA is the better team because of star power, but the Thunder plays hard enough to compete with any team on any given night. I don’t know if OKC can pull out a win on the road tonight, but I do think they keep it close enough to cover the spread.

OKC Thunder | Game #72 Preview: Los Angeles Clippers
The Thunder kicks off a 4-game West Coast road trip on Tuesday night as they take on the Los Angeles Clippers for the first of two meetings that will take place over the course of the next three days. The Clippers are currently 5th in the Western Conference standings with a 38-34 record, and OKC isn’t too far behind at 9th with a 35-36 record. With just 11 games remaining, the Thunder still has plenty of time to move up, but they also don’t have much room for losing.

The Thunder continues their current road trip Tuesday night as they take on the Los Angeles Lakers. Lebron James is just 25 points away from tying Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record, but James is listed as questionable tonight, so he may not play. Either way, OKC continues to be without Luguentz Dort, which hurts the Thunder defense in a major way.

The final few days of the regular season is upon, and based on Wednesday night’s 137-101 loss to the Utah Jazz, the Oklahoma City Thunder has figured out how to tank again. That’s a good thing considering that tonight they are taking on the Los Angeles Lakers, who aren’t tanking, but certainly don’t know how to win games right now.

The Lakers are stacked with seasoned veterans who can have a big impact on any given night. Lebron James and Russell Westbrook are two difference makers for Los Angeles, but they’re not the X-factor when it comes to playing the Thunder. Anthony Davis has found consistent success against OKC over the years, and he should undoubtedly be the key focus for tonight’s matchup.

In the last week, the Thunder has played just two games, both losses, while the Lakers have won three straight. OKC still isn’t exactly concerned with winning, despite the fact that they played especially well against the Clippers on Monday night, but the Lakers are working through their issues, particularly due to injury, while trying to establish somme chemistry.

Tonight, the Thunder hosts the Los Angeles Lakers. This will be the first time since January of 2020 that Russell Westbrook will be in the building, so it will be exciting to see him live and in person playing basketball yet again.

Now, as the Thunder begins their 14th season, I am finally a season-ticket holder. The Thunder hasn’t had fans in the building since March of 2019, and I for one could not be more excited. Yes, it’s almost guaranteed to be another tank season, and I’m more likely to be in the building for a loss than a win, but I’m still pumped. The NBA announced the full schedule for the 2021-22 season Friday afternoon, so without further ado, here are the 10 games that I’m looking forward to attending the most (in chronological order):

Oklahoma City Thunder General Manager shocked a lot of people on Thursday night. With the 6th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Presti selected Josh Giddey, an 18-year-old Australian who played 28 games with the National Basketball League’s Adelaide 36ers earlier this year.

This line was a bit crazy the last time out because news broke late that Lu Dort wasn’t playing and it pushed the spread up. However, we were able to lock the Wizards at 10.5 early on and held on for the cover. I know that Dort should make more than a one-point difference but OKC is only covering the spread 32% of the time as a home underdog and the Wizards are covering 57% of the time on the road. I’ll take Washington by at least 10 points here.
