It’s been a long road for Oklahoma but the Sooners are finally back in the AP Top 25 after producing a Big 12 best 11-1 record through the non-conference portion of their schedule.

Oklahoma’s latest win was a 76-69 overtime thriller at Northwestern. It marked the Sooners ninth win away from the Lloyd Noble Center and secured a win over a team from every Power Five conference this season.

The Sooners will retain their “Road Warrior” status as they visit Lawrence, Kansas on January 2nd to open up Big 12 play before finally heading back to Norman to host Oklahoma State on January 5th.

Averaging 17.9 points per game, Christian James is fourth in the conference in scoring. Matt Freeman is connecting on his three-point attempts 46.7% of the time to rank second in the conference in that category.

Kansas (#5) and Texas Tech (#11) join OU, from the Big 12, in this week’s poll.
