On Monday the Football Writers Association of America released their 2018 Freshman All-America team. Five players from Big 12 schools were featured on the offensive and defensive first teams, including Oklahoma center Creed Humphrey.

A 6-5/325 redshirt freshman from Shawnee, OK, Humphrey won the starting center position over senior Jonathan Alvarez. Over the course of the season his toughness and tenacity were put on display each weekend leaving no doubt who the vocal leader and anchor of the offensive line will be in 2019.

In addition to Humphrey, former Oklahoma quarterback and offensive coordinator Josh Heupel was named as the top first-year head coach.
