247Sports lists Cavender as a 5-11 safety who possesses decent speed at this point in his career. Posting a 4.86 forty yard dash time before stepping onto a college campus bodes well for the youngster. During the 2018 campaign, the defender earned playing time in all thirteen games. Recording 67 tackling in total, Cavender also secured three turnovers (2 INTs and 1 FR) as well as three tackles for loss. Playing both sides of the ball on the high school level, the senior displayed knowledge of an offense as well.
In the final year with Bixby, Cavender reeled in 45 catches for 816 yards and 12 touchdowns. Rushing the ball for another 305 yards throughout the season, the recruit racked up over 1,000 yards off offense as a senior.
