Oklahoma Sooners Prepping For First Top Five Recruiting Class Since 2010

National Signing Day is quickly approaching and fourteen top prospects remain undecided at this point in time. Set to swing the rankings drastically upon committing, final team rankings will be compiled as each letter of intent is completed with a signature. Currently, the Oklahoma Sooners possess the No. 5 recruiting class according to both Rivals and 247Sports.

Reeling in top recruits from around the nation, Lincoln Riley remains on pace to complete the feat of securing a top five recruiting class. Headlined by 5-star quarterback, Spencer Rattler, the class features several other high profile offensive recruits. Including taller receivers in Jadon Haselwood, Trejan Bridges, and Theo Wease, high scoring core appears set for the foreseeable future. Assuming everything holds throughout the next two days, this will be the Sooners’ first top five finish in recruiting since 2010 — a class that failed to feature at 5-star signee.

The No. 1 and No. 2 classes belong to Alabama and Georgia respectively and it likely won’t change with the conclusion of Feb 6th — National Signing Day. Climbing the ladder, Texas jumped into the No. 3 spot after flipping 5-star prospect Bru McCoy late in the process. Behind the Longhorns, there’s a bit of discrepancy as one outlet lists LSU at the No. 4 spot while the other positions Texas A&M inside the top four.
