Graduate transfer quarterback Jalen Hurts may still be fairly new to Norman but that doesn’t lessen the significance of his arrival. A veteran leader who has played in the College Football Playoff his entire collegiate career, Hurts has a lot more to offer to the Sooners than just his playing skill.
A recent Instagram post from Oklahoma strength and conditioning coach Bennie Wylie shows Hurts lifting in the weight room. More importantly is shows the team’s reaction to their new quarterback’s success.
You can often question the morale of a team after they lose an unquestioned leader. The Sooners have lost that person two years in a row now. However, if the weight room video is any indicator of the team morale with Hurts in command then there’s absolutely nothing to question.
