For the second time this month, a former Oklahoma Sooners commit opted to reopen the recruiting process. This time, it’s 3-star cornerback Jalen Huff making the decision.

Initially committing to play under the direction of Lincoln Riley on November 2nd, the prospect cited the reason behind the change of heart as coaching changes. “Due to recent staff changes this [commitment] has been put into consideration many times,” said Huff. Stating, “this was not at all an easy decision to make,” the high school junior ended the note by alerting all other programs of the availability.
Of course, relationships remain a key component in the realm of recruiting. That’s not to say Huff’s decision nixes the Sooners from the list. Rather it’s a statement that this recruit would like to establish a connection with Alex Grinch before lending his talents to Grinch’s system.
Until then, best of luck Huff!
