The nation’s premiere all-purpose running back previous posted a 4.38 forty yard dash time catching the attention of every head coach on the collegiate level. Despite the questions about his frame and work-load capabilities, the Oklahoma Sooners remain interested in the 5-star prospect, Chris Tyree. Planning to host numerous recruits during the annual spring game, the recruit confirmed the fact that he’ll be in attendance.
Hailing from the state of Virginia, Tyree clearly possesses unrivaled speed. Combined with the acceleration, the back displays elite vision when looking for an opportuntiy to burst through a hole in the defense. However, at 5’9″ 175-pounds, Tyree is far from being a one trick pony. With the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield, the speedster could easily find a home within the Sooners’ offense under the direction of Lincoln Riley.
The biggest area for improvement is pass protection. At 5’9″ 175-pounds, Tyree must pack on a few pounds to be a consistent player for any program at the collegiate level. For now, the youngster holds offers from 32 different programs including the likes of Alabama, Penn State, and Oklahoma — all three considered favorites at this point in time.
Can the Spring Game experience earn the commitment of the running back?
