As the dust surrounding the NFL Draft continues to settle, the focus of college coaches turns back toward recruiting. On Saturday morning, the Oklahoma Sooners extended a scholarship offer to Javion Cohen, a 2020 offensive line target out of Alabama.
Holding offers from several playoff contenders, 247Sports labeled the South Carolina Gamecocks as the odds on favorite at this point in time. However, interest from the University of Oklahoma may very well shake things up. This past season, Bill Bedenbough fielded four offensive lineman eligible for the draft. At the conclusion of the year, all four decided to enter the 2019 NFL Draft and eventually heard their names called. It bodes well for not only the product on the field in Norman, but also the development of a player hoping to reach the professional level.
Currently, the tackle remains scheduled to make an official announcement on August 21st of this year. Will the track record of Bedenbough be enough to sway Cohen away from the SEC?
