Oklahoma Sooners Add 10th Commitment To 2020 Recruiting Class

Recruiting continues to experience an uptick in activity as the Oklahoma Sooners look to round out the class of 2020. Crossing the Red River once again, the coaching staff earned the commitment of 3-star wide receiver, Brian Darby. Now sitting at 10 hard commitments for the cycle, Lincoln Riley and company retain the top class in the conference.

The 5’11” wideout captured the attention of the coaching staff during workouts at the OU Houston Baptist satellite camp. Receiving an official scholarship offer at the close of the camp, it didn’t take long for Darby to make a decision. 247Sports’ Brandon Drumm caught up with the prospect and asked, “why Oklahoma?”

Responding, Darby said, ” I knew OU was the school for me because I know Coach Riley, Coach Dennis Simmons and Coach Cale Gundy will get me to that next level that I need to be at going forward. It’s also a family atmosphere up there and they compete for a national championship every year, so why not go?”

Plucking Darby out of Texas A&M’s backyard, the Oklahoma Sooners continue to recruit the state of Texas at an exceptionally high level.
