Oklahoma Sooners Add 2020 4-Star Tight End

Under the direction of Lincoln Riley, the Oklahoma Sooners continue to outpace the rest of country in recruiting on the offensive side of the ball. After securing two top quarterbacks, the program must now round out the rest of the unit. Attempting to do so, the coaching staff remaining in contact with Jalin Conyers, a 4-star tight end. The efforts during the off season clearly paid dividends as Conyers committed to OU on Friday.

Flashing explosiveness on the basketball court at a smaller school, Conyers drew attention for his abilities on the gridiron. At 6-4, the tight proved to be exceptional after the catch. Running around the 4.7 mark in the 40-yard dash, Conyers is expected to improve those numbers once in a college level strength and conditioning program. However, the big framed TE also the hands to reel in various throws making him a prime option for Lincoln Riley’s offense.

Despite the growing number of interested parties, Conyers ultimately chose the Sooners over programs such as Georgia and Ohio State. Hailing from the state of Texas, the 2020 tight end remains one in a long of recruits to head north of the Red River.
