If you’re still looking for signs of continued improvement for Oklahoma’s defense, under new coordinator Alex Grinch, then look no further than this week’s conference player awards. Oklahoma defensive back Brendan Radley-Hiles was named as the Big 12’s Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday’s 70-14 win over South Dakota.
Bookie came up with Oklahoma’s first two takeaways of the season, on Saturday night, including his first career interception that he returned 30 yards for a touchdown. He also logged a pair of tackles, including one for loss.
A 4-star recruit, per 247Sports, Radley-Hiles was a member of Oklahoma’s 2019 recruiting class and became an immediate starter last fall.
