Oklahoma Basketball moved to 2-0 on the young season thanks to a pair of double-doubles from Brady Manek and Kristian Doolittle. The duo helped the Sooners overcome a six-point deficit at the half and outscore the Gophers by 15 over the final 20 minutes of the game in route to a 71-62 win.
It was Doolittle’s first appearance this season due to an NCAA suspension that benched him for the season opener. Oklahoma’s lone senior shot 5-of-14 from the floor, scoring 10 points, and pulled down 10 boards in his season debut.
It was Manek who had the biggest night though. Leading all scorers, the junior from Harrah, Oklahoma was 6-of-12 from the floor, including 3-of-6 from three-point range, on his way to 17 points while also grabbing 10 boards.
Guard Austin Reaves also posted 11 points for the Sooners and Jamal Bieniemy supplied 15 points off the bench.
Oklahoma will play at Oregon State on Tuesday night.
