The Oklahoma State Cowboys claimed a third consecutive win over the weekend behind the defensive effort. Playing at a high level, Kolby Harvell-Peel continues to set the tone for the rest of the group. Forcing two turnovers against Kansas while collecting five in the past two outings, the safety claimed the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week label once again.
As a sophomore, Harvell-Peel has come on strong with seven total turnovers throughout the season. Five of those are interceptions which sits just behind Douglas Coleman III from Texas Tech for the lead in the Big 12. From the secondary, the budding star ranks third on the team with 60 tackles.
Hoping to turn the defense around, Harvell-Peel remains an integral piece to puzzle. Allowing opponents to complete 55% of the pass attempts over the past two games is certainly moving in the right direction.
