Over the weekend, the Oklahoma Sooners claimed yet another win over a ranked opponent on the road. Behind an impressive defensive outing, Parnell Motley claimed the title of Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week.
During play on Saturday, the cornerback found himself in position to force two turnovers. With much debate, Motley was credited with a single interception after an official review. The effort marked the first of the season for the senior. Closing out conference play, Motley now accounts for 11 total pass breakups through twelve games.
The number leads the rest of the program. In addition, Motley also accounted for four forced fumbles and 34 tackles. Clearly a staple of this defense, the honor is well deserved.
