The regular season has come to a close leaving the Oklahoma Sooners with an opportunity to claim a fifth consecutive Big 12 Championship. Making preparations for a trip south of the border, a few individuals continue to question their future with the program. One such player is offensive lineman, Michael Thompson.
On Tuesday morning, the redshirt freshman announced his intention to enter the transfer portal via Twitter. Initially recruited as a defensive player, Thompson was forced to the sideline after sustaining an injury. Switching sides of the ball, the young player failed to appear in a single contest this past season.
Now open to other options, Thompson joins six others from the 2018 recruiting class who have chosen to enter the transfer portal.
