The Oklahoma City Thunder took on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night for their third game in just four days.
The Thunder had a lot to handle on Saturday night especially with the tired legs from this tough stretch of games. Karl-Anthony Towns came out on fire and absolutely dominated the early parts of the first quarter. At one point, KAT had 19 out of 20 points for Minnesota. The Thunder quickly turned things around as the offense began to find a rhythm. OKC went on a 14-2 run at the end of the quarter giving them a 28-22 lead after twelve minutes.

The second quarter was the closest of the game. Minnesota lead a majority of the stat categories heading into halftime, but OKC remained in the lead due to their success from beyond the arc. The Thunder went into halftime shooting 43% from deep, and a perfect 10-10 from the free throw line.

Third quarter slumps used to be a real struggle for this team. It seems as if things have changed because this Thunder squad has been dominating coming out of the break. OKC outscored the T-Wolves 39-24 in the third. Luguentz Dort put up a quick 10 points in the quarter, and Mike Muscala hit a couple of threes to push the Thunderโs lead up to as many as 20.

Just when it seemed as if the Thunder had put this one away, the Timberwolves came storming back. They got the score within 5 points with a couple of minutes remaining. Chris Paul has been incredible in clutch time this season, and he added to that Saturday night with a couple of buckets at the end of the game. The thunder survived the scare for a 113-104 win.

Thunder Player Of The Game
Luguentz Dort stepped up into the starting lineup in place of Terrance Ferguson four games ago. Since then, the Thunder is 4-0, and Dort has been playing extremely well. Saturday night he recorded 10 points on 3-5 shooting. All 10 points came during the third quarter.

Back Home On Monday
The Thunder will be back at home on Monday night taking on the Dallas Mavericks. The game will tip-off at 7:00 PM CST. It will be televised on FSOK, and broadcast on the radio at WWLS 98.1 FM.
