With just four games left in the regular season, the Oklahoma City Thunder controls their own destiny in terms of making the playoffs. At 38-40, OKC sits at 10th in the West—1 game behind the Minnesota Timberwolves and 1 game ahead of the Dallas Mavericks. After dropping two games in the last week that they probably should have won, the Thunder has their work cut out for them on Sunday evening when they host the Phoenix Suns.

OKC continues their short two-game road trip on Friday night as they take on the Phoenix Suns in the second game of a back-to-back. The Suns are 32-28 and currently sit at 5th in the West, but their placement in the standings is expected to change perhaps sooner than later due to a blockbuster trade that was made bringing Kevin Durant to Phoenix. Durant is set to make his debut in a couple of days as he finishes up his recovery from a sprained MCL in his right knee.

The Oklahoma City Thunder continues their trek towards the end of the regular season where they can rest easy knowing they tanked with the best of them, but tonight the Thunder hosts the Phoenix Suns as fan-favorite Chris Paul makes his return to the 405.

The Suns are the best team in the NBA right now, but they’re missing Chris Paul. Meanwhile, the Thunder tends to cover the spread, AND Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is returning from a sprained ankle. As a result, I could see OKC making a game out of this, at least for a little while.

The All-Star Break is over, the Oklahoma City Thunder is back in action tonight, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is set to make his return after missing the last 10 games with a sprained ankle. The home stretch is finally here, and the Thunder is set to finish with a losing record for the second straight season and just the third time in franchise history.

For just the second time all season, the Oklahoma City Thunder is riding a 3-game win streak after handily defeating the Denver Nuggets at home on Wednesday evening. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander recorded a triple-double for the second time in his career, and the Thunder came away with the 108-94 victory, their largest margin of victory all season long. Despite the win streak, I wouldn’t exactly say hopes are high for another win tonight as the Thunder travels to Phoenix to take on the scorching hot Suns.

Now, as the Thunder begins their 14th season, I am finally a season-ticket holder. The Thunder hasn’t had fans in the building since March of 2019, and I for one could not be more excited. Yes, it’s almost guaranteed to be another tank season, and I’m more likely to be in the building for a loss than a win, but I’m still pumped. The NBA announced the full schedule for the 2021-22 season Friday afternoon, so without further ado, here are the 10 games that I’m looking forward to attending the most (in chronological order):

How can you not pick the Suns after the performance Oklahoma City put out there Saturday night. I get it that they’ll have access to more players than they had against the Pacers but there’s still the issue of Phoenix pursuing the top seed in the West (only a half game back) and the Thunder pursuing a lottery pick. That is the most difficult factor when determining how competitive OKC is going to be.

The Oklahoma City Thunder continues to shock the world when they do what they did on Wednesday night by using a shortened roster to pull off a win against a superior team. The Thunder managed a 113-103 victory over the Toronto Raptors just two days ago despite starting a lineup that features 0 of the players from opening night. Tonight, that same lineup will take on the Phoenix Suns on the road.
