On the heels of a monster performance against West Virginia last Saturday, Oklahoma senior forward Kristian Doolittle had another monster game on Wednesday night, leading the Sooners to a comfortable 90-61 win over Iowa State.
The Cyclones didn’t make things easy on Oklahoma through the first twenty minutes of the game. Iowa State scrapped their way to just a 40-36 deficit at the break. However, the flood gates opened for the Sooners in the second half thanks to a fantastic performance from junior guard Alondes Williams.
After going scoreless in the first half, Williams propelled Oklahoma to a 50-25 advantage over the final twenty minutes of the contest by scoring 14 second half points.
Led by Doolittle’s 20 points, all five of Oklahoma’s starters scored in double figures.
Wednesday night’s win put the Sooners above .500 in conference play (6-5) and at 16-8 on the season. Oklahoma has games looming at Kansas (Saturday) and home against Baylor on Tuesday night.
