Bob Stoops spoke to the media following practice on Wednesday and announced that Landry Jones will be the starter on Sunday.

Despite having a “quarterback battle” in the off-season, Jones was going to be the starting QB from the minute he was brought into this organization. However, a knee injury has caused him to miss a lot of time, including the season opener a week ago.
Coach Stoops also mentioned that Jones had been practicing all week. He wasn’t able to practice the week prior, and that’s most likely the reason he was listed as QB #3 for the season opener against the Battlehawks.

The Dallas offensive line will need to step up on Sunday as they allowed 4 sacks last week, which was the third most of any team in week one. Jones isn’t the most mobile quarterback, but when given enough time he can pick apart a defense. Renegades fans should be ecstatic to hear about Jones making his XFL debut on Sunday.
