For the first time in recent history, Oklahoma no longer holds the title of top ranked Big 12 program in the national standings. Instead that label belongs to the hated Texas Longhorns.

Overall, the conference continues to climb in terms of perception on a national scale. Joining the top twenty-five this week, the Baylor Bears make the jump to No. 23 in the country. With the addition of the group out of Waco, the Big 12 now boasts five of the seven league teams inside the rankings.
In other words 71% of the conference sits in the most recent poll. It’s going to make for an interesting season and more importantly, a competitive Big 12 Tournament toward the end of the year!
