The Oklahoma City Thunder (38-24) was able to shake off consecutive losses by defeating the Detroit Pistons (20-43) on the second night of a back-to-back on Wednesday night.
Tonight, the Thunder continues their road trip as they take on the New York Knicks (19-43), who have won 2 of their last 3, but also only 2 of their last 9.
The Thunder has a clear size advantage against the Knicks, whose tallest player in the starting lineup is Taj Gibson at 6’9″. Tonight’s matchup could be a golden opportunity for both Steven Adams and Nerlens Noel to have solid statistical outings and punish New York in the paint.
Similar to Wednesday, if Oklahoma City can just take care of business, they should have no issue winning this game. The Thunder has plenty of areas they can improve, however, as was evidenced by the near comeback that the Pistons put together in the second half a couple of days ago.
Simply put, the Thunder needs to take care of the ball, which they are typically great at, and lock in on defense, which they have been good at for much of the season.
