The Oklahoma Sooners entered the weekend desperately needing a win in order to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive. Standing in the way, the TCU Horned Frogs prepared to play the role of spoiler in front of a home crowd for the final time this season. However, the No. 3 seed in the Big 12 Tournament remained up for grabs as well!
Quickly falling into a hole, the Sooners appeared content to walk away needing to take a couple of games in Kansas City. Trailing by twenty points at one point during the contest, the fans began to buy into the notion as well. Refusing to succumb to the idea, Austin Reaves singlehandedly dug Oklahoma out of the deficit. Eventually the single game effort produced a 78-76 road victory.

Dropping a career high 41 points on the evening, Reaves outscored the rest of his teammates combined. As a volume shooter, the guard fired up 23 shots while connecting on 16 of those attempts. But, the junior made a living at the charity stripe. Collecting an additional 15 points at the free throw line, Reaves point total marks the highest of any player in the Big 12 Conference this season.
With the victory, OU claimed the No. 3 seed in the Big 12 Tournament and will play West Virginia on Thursday.
