Every single team in our top three from a week ago was put to the test this weekend, and only one came out with the win. There are a ton of changes in the rankings this week, including the Renegades dropping out of the top three after two straight losses. Check out our week five rankings below.
1. Houston Roughnecks (5-0)
The Roughnecks managed to stay unbeaten yet again after escaping an early deficit against the Seattle Dragons. Houston is in a league of their own right now, and they have now faced adversity and managed to come out on top. Is anyone going to beat the Roughnecks this year?
2. New York Guardians (3-2)
After the first few weeks of the season the Guardians looked like one of the worst teams in the XFL. They have now won two in a row which stands as the second longest winning streak in the league. They’ll be going head-to-head with the Roughnecks on Saturday for the undisputed number one spot.
3. St. Louis Battlehawks (3-2)
The Battlehawks looked promising after four games, but took a step back in week five. I’m not ready to write off St. Louis just yet. They have an excellent opportunity to bounce back with a win over Tampa Bay this week.
4. DC Defenders (3-2)
5. LA Wildcats (2-3)
6. Dallas Renegades (2-3)
7. Tampa Bay Vipers (1-4)
8. Seattle Dragons (1-4)
