Prior to kickoff each year, the Oklahoma Sooners gather in order to select the team captains for the upcoming season. Receiving votes cast by their peers, two members of the program were selected.
Setting the tone in the trenches, it should come as no surprise that Creed Humphrey finds himself earning the title of team captain for the 2020 campaign. A first round NFL Draft talent, the physicality the center brings to the table is often unrivaled. Clearly possessing a work ethic found in few others, Humphrey is quickly becoming a household name.
Also tabbed a team captain, Patrick Fields started all 14 games at free safety in the previous outing. Logging 64 total tackles including six for loss, the number ranked third on the roster. The now junior was an honorable mention on the All-Big 12 Conference Team and is expected to hold down a starting role once again moving forward.
