Setting the Stage
It’s Senior Day in Stillwater as the no. 23 Oklahoma State Cowboys (5-2) host the struggling Texas Tech Red Raiders (3-5). The Cowboys are coming off an embarrassing Bedlam blowout in Norman last weekend, while the Red Raiders are two weeks removed from a 24-23 victory over the Baylor Bears (1-5).
The quarterback debate is not one at all today for Oklahoma State as Spencer Sanders will be under center with zero doubts at all. True freshman Shane Illingworth tested positive for Covid-19 a couple of days ago, so those who would rather see him on the field than Sanders will not get their wish this week.
The Cowboys are not completely out of the Big 12 Championship Game race, but they will need a lot of help. One of the moving parts for that to happen is that Oklahoma State has to win out, and they can get back on track by taking care of business today.
