Big Kat Bryant Commitment Could Wrap Up Oklahoma’s Transfer Portal Recruiting

The transfer portal has been very kind to Oklahoma but there’s still a big fish out there and the Sooners are still casting away. Well…a Big Kat to be more precise.

Auburn transfer Big Kat Bryant could be the final piece to the puzzle towards Oklahoma making its best run at a national championship since Baker and the Boys lost to Georgia in the Rose Bowl. A 6-4/226 defensive end, Bryant could shore up Alex Grinch’s defense and boost the Sooners from just bein favorites to win the Big 12 to heavy favorites.

Byrant has 10 quarterback sacks to his credit after four years of playing against run-heavy S.E.C. offenses. A 4-star recruit out of high school, Bryant came to Auburn as a pass-rushing specialist. He was a member of the S.E.C. all-freshman team in 2017 and last season he was a second team member of the all-conference squad.

There are two crystal ball projections for Bryant by 247Sports and they both have him heading to Norman. Ironically he would be coming to the Sooners at Tennessee’s expense. After Oklahoma already landed three Vol transfers through the portal, Bryant would technically be coming from Auburn but after first making a commitment to Tennessee and then backing away from it after the coaching staff was fired.

Sources say that Bryant is very close to making his decision and that Oklahoma is currently the frontrunner. Should he come through to be a Sooner you could pretty much expect that to put an end to Lincoln Riley and company shopping in the transfer portal for this offseason.
