Kur Kuath Eyeing Professional Career At End Of Season

This season has provided unique challenges as well as opportunities on and off the court. As the regular season draws nearer and nearer to a close, several names continue to contemplate the future. One such player is Kur Kuath of the Oklahoma Sooners.

At 6’9, Kuath provides the program with height and athleticism. Utilizing the frame and skill set, the forward’s most memorable moments of the year came against West Virginia on February 13. On the offensive side of the equation, Kuath caught an ally-oop in traffic before slamming it home midway through the second half. Defensively, the product from Sudan lent a hand in rotation before skying for a rejection of epic proportion in the second overtime. The block sealed the fate of the Mountaineers.

Despite averaging 18 minutes a game during the 2020-21 campaign, Kuath is apparently eyeing the next level of basketball.

At the conclusion of the season, Kuath intends to pursue a professional career away from the University of Oklahoma according to Ryan Chapman. With averages of 4.6 rebounds and a shooting percentage of 56.3% this go, Kuath makes the most of his opportunities. However, the NBA is a cutthroat industry with very few spots in the draft.

It’s hard to say that Kuath is a top 60 player in the country worthy of consideration of the upcoming draft. Yet, Kuath will more than likely play overseas at the professional level. Regardless, we wish nothing but the best in any future endeavors for the forward.
