Oklahoma collected 18 hits in Sunday’s series finale against Iowa State as they blasted their way to a 22-2 win to sweep the thee-game series from the Cyclones.
Tiare Jennings, Kinzie Hansen, and Mackenzie Donihoo all hit home runs as the Sooners rounded the bases 22 times in the 5-inning, run-rule shortened game.
From the circle Nicole May improved her record to 9-0 on the season. She pitched the first four innings where she was responsible for both ISU runs but she also held the Cyclones to just two hits while striking out six of the eighteen batters that she faced.
Oklahoma returns to Norman this week to host the Kansas Jayhawks in a series that begins on Thursday.
