On Wednesday afternoon new Oklahoma basketball coach Porter Moser admitted that he had several holes to fill on his roster and by that evening he had secured his first commitment. 2021 guard Alston Mason announced via social media that he had bought in to what the new coach was selling and committed to the Sooners.
A 3-star guard from Overland Park, Kansas, Mason chose the Sooners over Kansas State and Abilene Christian, according to Rivals. He will join 4-star Waxahachie, TX shooting guard CJ Noland and 3-star Kingfisher, Oklahoma point guard Bijan Cortes as the third commit to Oklahoma’s 2021 class. Both Noland and Cortes committed under Lon Kruger.
According to 247Sports the 6-1/175 prospect from Blue Valley Northwest High School is the #6 overall player from the state of Kansas.
