Oklahoma is deep at receiver and it might just be having a negative impact on recruiting the position. Well, at least for one player that is. Social media is buzzing on Wednesday night that 5-star receiver, and current Oklahoma commit, Luther Burden is about to flip to the Missouri Tigers.

So tomorrow Luther Burden will be @MizzouFootball at 1:00. He is bringing mom, dad, sister and girlfriend. His father tells me today that Luther is really excited about the visit and the fact that @CoachDrinkwitz has brought good talent at the wide receiver spot. @ksdknews

It’s important to keep a couple of things in mind here. First, this is all speculation at this point. Recruiting has been dead due to the covid pandemic and these athletes have earned the right to take as many visits as they possibly can.
Secondly, Burden is planning to attend Oklahoma’s Champ U BBQ next month. There’s a lot of buzz surrounding Missouri’s 2022 recruiting class but regardless of what happens in Columbia, Burden is still coming to Norman and will have a face-to-face with Lincoln Riley.
We’re only in the month of June so plenty will change with Oklahoma’s recruiting class over the next six months. Burden is currently the top prospect in the class for the Sooners but he’s a long way from being the guy that would absolutely devastate the class should he flip somewhere else.
