NB Billy Bowman | Questionable
There’s not much detail about the type of injury that Billy Bowman previously suffered against WCU. However, the freshman was noticeably absent from the latter half of the contest and remains questionable for Nebraska. Without much experience at the position as a whole, the program must approach this with a “next man up” mentality. Of course, it’s possible that Bowman steps onto the field and takes significant snaps with the starters.
WR Brian Darby | Out
Forced to the sideline after a bit of a breakout performance to start the season, Brian Darby is not expected to play in this contest. Granted, the receiver position is one of the deepest and most talent groups on campus. Still, it’s not a welcomed sight for various reasons.
DB Kendall Dennis | Questionable
For the second week in a row, Kendall Dennis will be nursing an injury. As a defensive back looking to crack the depth chart, it’s not helping the cause.
DE Nathan Rawlings-Kibonge | Questionable
Dealing with an unspecified ailment, the talented defensive end will remained sidelined. If it isn’t for the injury, it will be for the overwhelming success of the other players at the position…at least for right now. NRK is the future of the position and will need to take snap after snap to realize the potential.
LB Danny Stutsman | Questionable
The star on defense in week two, Danny Stutsman showcased the ability to play like anything but a freshman. Suffering an arm/shoulder injury, the status of the linebacker is still questionable as the severity of the injury is left undisclosed.
CB Woodi Washington | Doubtful
After suffering an injury last week, the cornerback is not expected to play against the Cornhuskers. It’s a major setback as Washington is possibly the Sooners most capable corner as well as a starter. The void will be filled by talented but inexperience players in Alex Grinch’s system.
