The Oklahoma Sooners are preparing to take on the struggling Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence on Saturday. Without a week off through the first two months of play, the program remains undefeated and is looking to continue the streak. Considering this will be the eighth game for the crimson and cream, it should come as no surprise that OU is still dealing with injuries at various positions. Who will and will not take the field this weekend?
DB Jeremiah Criddell | Questionable
Suffering a still undisclosed injury weeks ago, Jeremiah Criddell has yet to be seen in the field of play. Sitting out the past two weeks has certainly helped the young player improve his situation. However, the defensive back remains questionable this weekend once again.
WR Cody Jackson | Questionable
There has been plenty of talent to go around at the receiver position. Despite being a freshman, Cody Jackson earned playing time early in his career. But it was yet to be determined if the wideout would redshirt or not. Now, having missed the past three games due to a personal medical issue, Jackson is labeled as questionable himself.
WR Mario Williams | Questionable
Making an immediate impact, Mario Williams looked to be the compliment at the receiver position for the offense. Dealing with a hamstring injury that sidelined the youngster against the TCU Horned Frogs, it’s unclear what his status is moving forward.
DL Isaiah Coe | Questionable
While the defensive lineman may not receive the same notoriety as a few others on the roster, Coe is a regular contributor in the trenches. Appearing in six games this season, the lineman has recorded a sack alongside five tackles. Knowing this is the strength and heart of the defense, the absence of Coe wouldn’t be the end of the world. Rather it’s a depth concern as the former transfer is listed as questionable for Saturday.
