This Week’s Picks

Craig

Cincinnati at Tulane | Pretty large spread here, but I like the Bearcats. Tulane seems to be taking more steps in the wrong direction each week. Meanwhile, Cincinnati understands the importance of winning with style points if they hope to reach the college football playoffs.

Iowa State at West Virginia | The Cyclones really start to pick things up this time of year. I think they walk out of Morgantown with a fairly easy win.

Penn State at Ohio State | The Buckeyes are clearly the better football team here but I question if they are 19 points better than Penn State.

Matt

Cincinnati at Tulane | Tulane’s defense is going to struggle with Desmond Ridder and the Cincy offense but the Bearcats showed some chinks in the armor last week against Navy as well. I like Cincinnati to win this on the road but Tulane’s offense will keep it within in the 26.5 in front of the home crowd.

Michigan at Michigan State | All good things must come to an end and on Saturday the state of Michigan will only have one unbeaten team instead of two. I like this game to be close throughout but give me the Wolverines with a late score to ice it and cover the spread.

Iowa at Wisconsin | After dropping their first game of the season last week the Hawkeyes find themselves as 3.5-point underdogs against a three-loss Wisconsin team. I’m thinking that this is a huge overreaction and this game could just be free money waiting to be claimed.

Rich

Texas at Baylor | The Bears have been the aggressor in most of their matchups this season catching their opponent by surprise. Combined with the big play ability of the offense, it seems as this should be a game Baylor wins in front of a home crowd. I’m will to say it’s by at least a field goal.

Iowa at Wisconsin | Once again we find an unranked opponent taking the label of favorite against a ranked foe. It surprises me to say the least especially when it comes to Iowa. It’s why I’m taking the Hawkeye straight up in this one.

Georgia at Florida | Georgia is by far the best team in the country this season. Led by the defense and an offense that fans have yet to see hit its full potential should alarm those heading to the Swamp for this one. Word is that JT Daniels could return to the lineup putting some question marks on the field. How will Coach Smart use the talented quarterback? Still it shouldn’t decide this contest as UGA is fine with either option.

Zack

Cincinnati at Tulane | The Bearcats are going to score a ton of points in this one, and I’m not sure Tulane is good enough to stick around for even a quarter. I’ll take Cincy by 4 touchdowns.

Texas Tech at Oklahoma | Oklahoma’s defense is awful, but the Sooners need to do to the Red Raiders what they should have done to the Jayhawks last weekend. I’ll take OU by at least 20.

Iowa at Wisconsin | I know Wisconsin’s losses have all come at the hands of ranked teams, so they’re not necessarily as bad as their record looks, but they haven’t beaten a ranked team yet either, so give me the Hawkeyes in this one.
