Jeff Lebby is still looking for quarterbacks and Chubba Purdy is looking to make a name for himself, other than Brock Purdy’s little brother. This could be a match made in NCAA Football heaven if they two parties can come together and make some Sooner Magic. In two seasons at Florida State the younger Purdy completed 75% of his passes (32 of 58) for 317 yards and 4 touchdowns to just one interception.
On Saturday afternoon Purdy announced, via social media, that he had received a scholarship offer from Oklahoma. Among the other schools that are pursuing Purdy are Pitt and Nebraska. The Huskers just picked up former Texas quarterback Casey Thompson and then the Sooners picked up former UCF star Dillon Gabriel, so that might put the Panthers in the lead as far as an available position opening goes.
247Sports had Hubbard rated as the #7 dual threat quarterback, and the #6 overall player from the state of Arizona, in the 2020 recruiting class. He graduated high school with 20 scholarship offers and chose Florida State over the likes of Arizona State, Cal, Louisville, and Michigan State.
