Denton, Texas (Ryan High School) linebacker Anthony Hill has received 33 scholarship offers and on Monday the senior to be narrowed that group down to six possibilities. Included among those possibilities are the Oklahoma Sooners who hosted Hill last month (January 22nd) for Junior Day. It appears that, moving forward, OU will be competing with Alabama, Miami, Texas, Texas A&M, and USC in pursuit of the top linebacker in the 2023 recruiting class.
In 2021 Hill recorded 131 total tackles, 8 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions with one returned for a score as a junior. He was named as the Texas District 5-5A-I Co-MVP. He was also named a first-team MaxPreps Junior All-American and a Class 5A first-team all-state selection by the Texas Sportswriters Association.
247Sports has the 6-2/225 linebacker ranked as a 5-star prospect, the #34 overall prospect in the nation, and the #4 overall prospect from the state of Texas.
