The Oklahoma City Thunder is rolling through the preseason with a 4-1 record so far, and a big reason for that is the improved shooting. Since the hiring of Chip Engelland, many expected OKC to see some immediate improvement, but they have already been one of the top shooting teams in the league in the preseason. If Engelland is going to make this big of an impact on the team this soon, who knows what the ceiling is for this season?
The Thunder wraps up their preseason tonight in San Antonio when they take on the Spurs. San Antonio is largely regarded as the worst team coming into this season, and they are very clearly preparing for a season of tanking. Tonight’s game has no consequences in regard to future draft picks, so expect at least an attempt at a competitive game from both sides. If the Thunder shoots as well as they have been through five preseason games, though, this could turn into a blowout.
