Why the Thunder Will Cover (+10.5)
The Thunder did a remarkable job in the 2021-22 at covering on the road, doing so 66% of the time. It can be extremely difficult to judge just how good teams are at the beginning of a new season but a few things we know for sure: OKC is likely not in a rush to win this season, and Minnesota upgraded a bit when they traded for Rudy Gobert. Even so, I expect the Thunder to be able to keep this one to within single digits because of superior guard play.

Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (226.5)
The Thunder hit the over just half the time last season, and while the Timberwolves managed to do so away from home, they weren’t as successful at the Target Center. Gobert doesn’t really move the offensive needle for Minnesota, and while I expect improvement from OKC when it comes to scoring, I expect a rusty start to the season, at least on the offensive side of the ball.
