OKC Thunder | Game #54 Preview: Los Angeles Lakers

Advertisements

Just a week after playing the Golden State Warriors at home in a competitive game, the Oklahoma City Thunder were embarrassed in San Francisco on Monday night in a 141-114 loss to the Warriors. Even without Steph Curry, Golden State was on fire, particularly Klay Thompson, who couldn’t miss from deep. OKC kept it close, even leading for periods of the first half, but a 7-point halftime deficit quickly turned ugly in the third quarter as the Thunder simply had no answer.

The Thunder continues their current road trip Tuesday night as they take on the Los Angeles Lakers. Lebron James is just 25 points away from tying Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record, but James is listed as questionable tonight, so he may not play. Either way, OKC continues to be without Luguentz Dort, which hurts the Thunder defense in a major way.

After last night’s rough outing, the Thunder should play with a little more ambition tonight, but they still have their work cut out for them, regardless of who plays.
