Series History

The Thunder is 0-2 against the Kings this season (0-1 at home, 0-1 on the road).

Why the Thunder Will Cover (+3)

OKC trailed from the start against the Kings on Sunday, but after being outscored by 10 in the first quarter, the Thunder managed to cut the deficit to just 4 points headed into the final frame. I think tonight’s matchup could be very similar, but I think it will be harder for Sacramento to pull away late. Add to the fact that De’Aaron Fox is a game-time decision, and I’m leaning towards OKC covering the small spread. If Fox is out, I think it’s safe to outright pick the Thunder, but even if he does play, I like OKC’s odds of at least covering the spread.

Why the Game Will Hit the Over (234.5)

Sunday night’s point total was 239, just narrowly missing the 239.5 point total. I’m sure tonight’s number is slightly lower because of the news about Fox potentially missing the game, but regardless, the total will likely be pretty close to the line. I’m taking the over because I think the Thunder really needs a win, and they’re not going to do that without scoring a lot of points.
