Why the Thunder Will Cover (-10.5)
The Thunder finally returns home after a 4-game West Coast road trip, and they have won their last 5 in OKC. The Hornets are riddled with injuries and have no real incentive to win considering they have already been eliminated from playoff contention. I hesitate to take OKC to cover such a big spread after they nearly laid on egg on Sunday in Portland, but this team just plays differently when at home. I like the Thunder by double digits in this one.
Why the Game Will Hit the Over (230)
I keep falling for the trap of expecting a high-scoring game, and I guess I’m ready to get my heartbroken again. The point total tonight is as low as it has been in a while, and even though Charlotte is pretty spread thin, I think the Thunder could put up some serious scoring tonight. As a result, I’m taking the over.
