What We Learned Last Weekend

  • Oklahoma still owns Texas – The series sweep marked the seventh time in the last eight seasons OU has swept Texas in conference play and the three wins on the weekend made it 30 wins over the Horns in the last 31 games.

Notes & Storylines

  • OU is outscoring its opponents by a combined score of 300-33 on the season, surrendering an average of 0.9 runs/game. The Sooner pitching staff has thrown shutouts in 19 of OU’s 34 games to lead the country in shutouts.
  • As a team, OU is batting a nation-best .390 with 63 home runs.
  • First-year head coach Craig Snider, a renowned hitting coach, has the Red Raiders ranked second in the country in home runs with 64, one more than OU’s season total.
