The Oklahoma City Thunder has clinched the final play-in spot and will play on Wednesday night against an opponent to be determined after all the games are played today and the final seedings are settled. Before that can happen, however, the Thunder must wrap up the regular season with an Easter Sunday matinee at home against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies are also locked in to their playoff spot as the 2-seed, so as expected, both teams are resting a heavy majority of their players. While pretty much everybody is dealing with some sort of minor ailment at the least, it is disappointing that fans won’t get to see the regular rotations, but the extra rest will especially help certain guys—like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander— who have been playing through injury for a while.
Regardless of who sees the court today, these guys are still NBA players, and it should make for an exciting afternoon of basketball.
