The road to the 2023 NCAA Division I Softball Championship will go through Norman. For the fourth consecutive time the Sooners are the Top-Overall seed for the tournament and will host Cal, Hofstra, and Missouri in the Norman Regional. OU begins its march to OKC at 4 p.m. when it takes on Hofstra in the opening game of the regional. That will be followed by Ca and Missouri. The two winners will play each other in Saturday’s first game (2 p.m.) and then Friday’s two losers will play in the first elimination game immediately after (4:30 p.m.).

Oklahoma is more than just a staple in the NCAA Softball Tournament, the Sooners have become “regulars” at the Women’s College World Series. Only UCLA (12) and Arizona (8) have won more title than OU but as of late it has been Patty Gasso’s gals that have become the face of the sport.
