Why We’re Taking Utah At -5
This is a prove it game for the Gators. The last time they faced a Pac 12 opponent they were run off the field by Oregon State in the Las Vegas Bowl by a final of 30-3. Now they’re facing the defending Pac 12 champs on the road, in a night game, with a new quarterback who has thrown 26 interceptions in his career. The Utes are turning towards Bryson Barnes at QB1 while Cameron Rising recovers from the ACL injury he suffered in the Rose Bowl. However, Utah has an elite offensive line and will look to push things on the group in order to set up opportunities through the air.
Why We’re Taking Utah On The Moneyline
I think the Utes have the all around advantages here. Absent of Cameron Rising, the quarterbacks may be a wash, but the play up front, the running game, and the defensive advantages all belong to Utah. I think this is ultimately going to be a game where momentum is gained or lost on turnovers and, again, I’m expecting that to favor Utah.
Why We’re Taking The Over
I think the line adjusted too much with the news of Rising not playing. Those turnovers I mentioned earlier are going to lead to points, and this thing is ultimately going to hit the over.
