Friday Locks | Week 5

We made it four weeks into the season before the dreaded push came into play. A push is when a pick hits exactly on the spread, which means you neither win or lose the bet. The good news is that it allowed us to collectively have a winning weekend at 4-2-3, but it also means we didn’t make up much ground on our season record (14-19-3).

This Week’s Picks

Craig

Georgia (-14.5) at Auburn | “This is a very dominant Georgia squad that is going up against a very questionable Auburn team. I believe Georgia will go on the road and take care of business. “

Florida (+1) at Kentucky | “Florida has proven to be worthy of their top 25 ranking after a very disappointing week one. It will be a tough one on the road, but I do think they come out with the win. “

Kansas (+16.5) at Texas | I do not think Texas is on upset alert like a lot of people. But, I do think the Jayhawks keep it close.

Zack

Washington (-18.5) at Arizona | This might be the best Arizona team in years, but Washington is no joke. I expect a lot of points in this game, and most of them will belong to the Huskies.

Oregon (-27.5) at Stanford | Oregon’s offense is something else, and Stanford might be one of the worst teams in FBS football. a 4-touchdown spread should be nothing for the ducks.

Michigan (-17.5) at Nebraska | Nebraska has been bad for a while…and they still are. Michigan should have no problem grabbing a fifth consecutive 20+ point victory.

Matt

Oregon State (-4) vs. Utah | In the absence of Cameron Rising, Utah has been surviving with its defense. That’ll catch up with them on Friday night. Look for Oregon State to find a way to get out ahead of the Utes and maintain that lead.

Northwestern (+26) vs. Penn State | The Penn State defense could legitimately be the best in the Big 10. However, this spread is too large on the road. Look for the Nittany Lions to win comfortably, but by less than four touchdowns.

Colorado (+21.5) vs. USC | Everyone is jumping off the Colorado train after last weekend’s loss at Oregon. They’ll lose again to USC on Saturday but it’ll be a more competitive game. Mostly because the Trojan defense isn’t up to par yet with its explosive offense.
